We are looking to move from Colorado to the Sacramento area we have a 9 year old daughte, what is area is good
Young black working couple with 9 year old daughter moving from Colorado to Sacramento, California. We would like to know if anyone knows anything about the area, schools, crime, etc....husband will be working in the Stockton area

dont go to LA...

Rancho cordova, Folsom, are all nice areas of Sacramento to look at. They are far away from the Air Force bases that you don't get much fly by action and they are pretty well developed areas with decent property value.

maybe too far away, but dixon/vacaville area is good. housing is just as nice, but cheaper. you can still live the small town life with access to the city in minutes. Even has cows and nut tree groves. you'll already be midway between sac and the napa valley. schools are better. stock up on hair grease or other 'ethnic' products until you find your way around. not readily accessible everywhere
